Neste Episódio...

Fringe é um drama que vai explorar a tênue linha entre a ficção científica e a realidade. Quando um acidente áereo ocorre em Boston matando todos os passageiros e a tripulação de forma chocante, a agente especial do FBI Olivia Dunham (a novata Anna Torv) é chamada para investigar. Depois que seu parceiro, o agente especial John Scott (Mark Valley de Boston Legal) quase morre durante a investigação, Olivia procura desesperadamente por ajuda e acaba conhecendo o Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble, o Denethor de Senhor dos Anéis- O Retorno do Rei), o Einstein da nossa geração. Só há um problema: Walter esteve internado em uma clínica psiquiátrica pelos últimos 20 anos e a única forma de questioná-lo é pedindo ajuda a Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson, o Pacey de Dawson's Creek), o estranho filho de Walter.

Quando a investigação de Olivia a leva à manipuladora executiva Nina Sharp, esse trio improvável ao lado dos agentes do FBI, Philip Broyles (Lance Reddick, o Matthew Abaddon da 4ª temporada de Lost) e Astrid Farnsworth vão descobrir que o que aconteceu com o vôo 627 é apenas um pedaço de uma verdade maior e mais chocante.
